WELCOME TO MISS CERONE'S SPACE!! This site is a work in progess.
About Me:
I am really excited about this upcoming school year! This is my fourth year at Churchville Middle School. I currently teach 6th grade social studies and one 8th grade math class.
I grew up in Itasca, Illinois, which is just 20 minutes away from Elmhurst. I went to Lake Park High School in Roselle, Illinois. After I graduating, I attended The College of DuPage for two years, and then Elmhurst College for three years. I graduated in 2006 with a bachelors degree in elementary education.
I really enjoy teaching social studies because the topics we study are very interesting. We focus on the eastern hemisphere of the world. This means we look at Africa, the Middle East, China, India, Japan, and many other eastern countries. We study geography, ancient civilizations, and the main religions of the world. We also take a look at the current events that are going on in these parts of the world.
When I am not at school, I enjoy a variety of activities. I like to read and listen to music. I watch television, but only for about an hour a day. I enjoy outdoor activities the most; therefore spring and summer are my favorite seasons. I enjoy swimming, running, going to the beach, exploring Chicago, going to festivals, walks, bike rides, and Great America!
My main interests are helping the environment and other people, and learning. I love the beauty of nature and I do my best to preserve and take care of it because it gives us SO much in return. I also encourage the people around me to do the same! I also enjoy learning new things. I learn by reading, watching television, and talking with others. I believe that knowledge feeds the brain and empowers us!
